Tires for your Hummer H3

Choosing tires is a matter of compromise. Do you want a good offroad tire that you can live with on the highway? Do you want an all out mud, snow and offroad tire that is going to sing and make noise on pavement? Do you want a highway tires that will be quiet and give good mileage?

Most people love the Toyo Open Country M/T 33s for the H3. If you are aggressive and do mostly offorad and can live with body and frame tire rub, you can try the 35s. Running 35s on a daily driver without a lift is a mistake that can be expensive to correct. The Bridgestone Offroad 33s are good choices for those who don't offroad and mud very much. If you do a lot of snow driving, most love the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S 285/75 - 16. The Goodyear MT/Rs are the favorite offroad tire of many, BUT they are noisy and hard to live with on the highway. The Cooper STTs are a great tire also, at a great price. Far and away the most commonly seen offroad tires on the H3 are the Toyos and BF Goodrich 33s.

A good snow and aggressive offroad tire can enhance the performance of any H3, just make sure you can live with the noise on the highway! This site has a lot of very good information on tires
