Going Back to the Hummer

Now that gas prices are dropping to below $2.00 a gallon, I have been amazed at the number of people that traded their Hummers and large SUVs for smaller vehicles and are absolutely miserable in them. Once you get the convenience and comfort of a large SUV, especially if you have a large family or haul a lot of stuff, you are spoiled for life. Even more telling, those who try to visit uncle Ed out in the country and discover that they took for granted the 4 X 4 capabilities of the Hummer. Wait till snow and winter weather comes! I have a good friend that after three months is willing to take the hit on depreciation of his new econo machine and go back to a Hummer. The government is discovering that large SUVs are good for the economy and good for American jobs. Is there any vehicle more American than the Hummer???
