With talk about GM shedding the Hummer brand, prices on Hummers, new and used, continue to fall. Skimming through Ebay I'm finding a lot of nice 2004 H2s in the teens
and numerous 2006 H3s in the mid teens
For my money you can't beat a Hummer Certified Hummer from a dealer. However, there won't be any Hummer dealers left is GM discontinues the brand. The 6 year/100,000 mile warranty gives great peace of mind and you get a free one year activation of the OnStar and 1 year of XM Radio for free (XM depends on dealer). You end up paying another $2000 over Ebay prices for all this, but try and price a 6yr/ 100,000 BUMPER TO BUMPER warranty for a Hummer independently and only the BEST Hummers get Hummer Certified. Many factors exclude a Hummer from becoming Hummer Certified. The big question here is where do I go when there are no more Hummer dealerships?
When it comes to new ones, $10,000 off sticker on new H2s and $10,000 off sticker on new H3s at Hummer dealers makes it easier than ever to own a Hummer. In my opinion the H1s will soon become collector's items and I've been looking at them for a long time now. Every Hummer lover HAS TO DRIVE an H1 at least once. To someone that loves machinery, they're intoxicating!!! The sound of that big diesel engine and the turbo kicking in mmmmmmm. Happy Thanksgiving to all. I always get a kick out of driving all the relatives kids around the block or through the field and the creek in my Hummer on Thanksgiving after dinner. Get your Hummer now and be ready for the snow. When the big snow hits, you'll be everyone's best friend and perhaps the only one at the office!
