Hummers Take first in both classes in Offroad Poker Run

Hummers finished first in both classes of the Davis Trail Memorial Poker Run this weekend. In the "Large 4 x 4 class" Colton Fisk's H1 took top honors with four of a kind, followed by two Hummer H2s, another H1, a Toyota FJ, a Ford F250, and a highly modified Dodge Ram pickup. In the "regular 4 X 4 class," Mitch Weidenbach in his 2008 H3 Alpha took first place, with the next four places all filled by H3s, followed by a Jeep Rhino and two highly modified Jeep Wranglers. Cliff R. in his famous stock red Jeep Wrangler provided prizes, refreshments and encouragement to all. A big thumbs up to Cliff for a great event! All 42 entrants had a great time, in spite of the rainy and muddy conditions.

Once again, when it comes to tough conditions offroading, nothing beats a Hummer. Of note, is the fact that in the regular class Mitch's stock H3 Alpha competed against at least a dozen highly modified offroad vehicles to claim the victory.

A GREAT EVENT on a beautiful trail! I think they need more sponsorship to make this an annual event. Next time get a picture of my H3.
