The Phantom reports from his postion high in the GM puzzle palace that things are starting to move "very fast" with the Hummer brand. He states there has been more "wheeling, dealing, and real concrete negotiations in the last 24 hours than in the last 24 weeks." A US group has been interested all along, and standing in the background, possibly waiting till the price is right.
The Phantom states this group is interested in keeping Hummer production in the "US and Canada" and they have done their homework. What The Phantom likes best about this deal is the fact that this group has the money, a proven track record, manufacturing know how, and a "genuine interest in keeping the Hummer brand alive in the US. These people aren't just bean counters, they are true Hummer enthusiasts." An announcement could be made in the next few days! Stay tuned.
