A modified H1 Hummer was used as a platform for some of the filming in the motion picture Inglourious Basterds. The producers found the H1 provided a platform capable of "going where no other vehicles could when loaded down with a camera on a crane." Just another use of the extremely versatile Hummer H1. This vehicle was also used in the filming of HBOs Generation Kill, but got some more modifications before its recent outing, to include: new and bigger all terrain tires, a third gas tank (I'd like to see some pictures of that installation), significant sound deadening around the engine compartment, and the addition of more mufflers to make it ultra quiet.
