The Great River Road has become the new place for leaf watchers to gather this fall. The Midwest and Upper Midwest portions of the road have over 300 type of trees, more than anywhere in the US and with all the rain along the Mississippi this fall and summer the trees should have gorgeous color. If you're lucky, you'll see one or two bald eagles returning early for the winter. Quite spectacular is the view of the Mississippi from the cemetery in Louisiana, MO with graves dating to 1816 with the inscription "Died from Indian Attack."
