OOOOOPS!

There’s a reason car commercials have included the disclaimer, “Professional driver on closed course. Don’t try this at home.” Terry Hampton learned that the hard way Monday in the Lowe’s parking lot. Showing off his white Hummer H3 to friends after work, Hampton drove the vehicle up a steep pile of plowed snow and parked it there — until a portion of the snow pile under the left side of the H3 gave way.

The SUV rolled to its side and slid down the hill, coming to a rest on the wet asphalt.“It just gave way on the one side,” Hampton said. He was in the H3 when it started its slide. The air bags deployed, and Hampton was helpless. The only injuries were to Hampton's pride and the driver's side door.
