HOPE (Hummer Owners Prepared for Emergencies) provide support for the American Red Cross and their disaster teams when the going gets rough. The program requires ownership of a Hummer. You and your Hummer may be called upon by the American Red Cross in times of flood, earthquake, blizzard, fire or other times of need. After Hurricane Katrina, civilian Hummer H1s and H2s (some from HOPE) were seen alongside of military Humvees in flooded New Orleans streets aiding the disaster victims. Last year HOPE members provided rides for doctors and nurses to the hospital during the great January Noreaster Blizzard of 2008. Other members provided support during the recent Mississippi River flooding. For more information : http://www.hummerhope.com/
