Hummer Future

Once again, a deadline has come and gone for our beloved Hummer. GM now says it will have further word on the Hummer "at a later date." What is known is that there has been a definite offer for the brand by an outside investor and there might even be three other offers on the table. It has been rumored that two top executives at GM would like to save the Hummer brand and are delaying a final decision, in hopes gas prices will stay low, consumer spending will improve and the Hummer can be saved. I think this is a real long shot, wishful thinking on the part of The Phantom, and very unsubstantiated at best. The biggest hope for Hummer is a sale to an investor with deep pockets! While all this has been going on, sales of Hummers are up dramatically overseas and improving in the United States.
