Over the weekend I pulled into a truck stop on I70 and there were FIVE Hummers there. One H1, two H2s (including mine) and two H3s. We started talking about the good ole days when Hummer dealers had lots full of Hummers and when you bought one they took you out to the GM mandated obstacle course. The H1 owner was from Iowa and she was going to Nashville to visit her son and daughter-in-law. One of the H3 owners was from Denver going to Evansville and couldn't say enough nice things about Castle Hummer and how he's going to miss them. The other H2 owner was from Waco, TX and said Sewell Hummer was the best dealership he had ever dealt with in his life on any vehicle, and I had to say the same for Lynch. It's going to be hard to see these dealers go. Now I know why my Dad was so upset when Packard went out of business - he loved his Cadillacs and Packards! We all agreed on one thing, we'll do whatever it takes to keep our Hummers running for a long time because we don't want to drive anything else. Nice meeting you Bob, Jack, Chase and Suzanne!
