A Tale of Two Dealers
With all the bad news about GM and Hummer dealers getting out of the business, it's good to see two of the premier Hummer dealers increasing stock and having several H3Ts to choose from. I was on a business trip and missed my connection in St. Louis, so with 6 hours to kill I rented a car and drove out to Lynch Hummer (a 30 minute drive from the airport), just to see this award winning stand alone Hummer dealer. When I got there I found they would have come to the airport and picked me up ...............in a Hummer. If I'm going to write about it, I had to visit and it exceeded my expectations in every respect!
They had a large selection of '09 H2s and H3s and gobs of H1s. It was fun talking Hummers and it was nice to hear from salesmen and people that are upbeat about the future. It's getting more and more difficult when everything you read about the economy & Hummers is so negative to find upbeat car salesmen, but these guys love Hummers. Falling gas prices have already impacted more people walking through the showroom. These people love Hummers and took me for my first H1 ride ever around the block - SO AWESOME! http://www.lynchhummer.com/
Back in my rented Escape I headed for the airport and the American flight to DFW. In Dallas I had the privilege of looking through the stock at Sewell Hummer, another award winning Hummer dealer with lots of Hummers, and I even got to peruse a new '09 H2. They had some REALLY GOOD deals on Hummer Certified http://www.hummerguy.net/certified-pre-owned-hummers H2s and H3s. Another Hummer dealership where everyone was very upbeat about the future! http://www.sewellhummerdallas.com/
For some reason, you see a lot of Hummers on the road in St. Louis and Dallas, and I'm sure these two dealers are the reason for it. With two dealers like these, I'm encouraged about the future for Hummer! My next goal is to visit the AM General plant in Mishawaka, where they make the Humvee and H2.
